St. Catherine's Church (German: Katharinenkirche) is the largest Lutheran church in Frankfurt am Main, dedicated to the martyred early Christian saint, Catherine of Alexandria. It is located in the city centre near one of the most famous plazas in the city, the Hauptwache.
This church is built in the baroque style and stands 54 meters in height. Construction began in 1678 and finished in 1681 only to be destroyed in 1944 as a result of Allied bombing during the Second World War. Reconstruction of the church took place between 1950 and 1954.
It is one of eight Dotationskirchen (dotation church) - since 1802 - in Frankfurt.
